Overall, the 'adjustment' has been alright. He's such a sweet and happy child... who has the cutiest face and most lovable dimples. But... wow! it is so hard to hear him cry! I thought I'd have a higher tolerance for it as other baby's cries don't bother me too much, but I guess when it's your own little guy you feel differently. Since the last post, William's night-time sleep habits have fluctuated dramatically. There were days when he would only sleep about 45-90 mins. at a time round the clock... but thankfully, he's getting a bit better at sleeping longer now, with only a couple feedings a night.
My days are mostly spent getting to know the little guy a bit better and it feels like a huge accomplishment every time I learn something new about him and his needs. For instance, a little while back I realized that he was demanding more milk from me than my body could produce. I had thought he was having stomach pains or gas, but after I gave him to Christian to hold for a minute (after a 4 hr nursing session!) he aggressively latched onto Christian's chest and I realized... nope!... he just needs more to eat. I fed him some pumped milk and he went straight to bed. :) Ah, these early accomplishments.
But, otherwise, he's growing like a weed and beginning to smile back at us. Of course, he smiled and laughed within his first week of life... but people tell me this was not intentional (or real)... but I know the truth :) Anyway, he's now doing it more purposefully and hopefully one of these days I'll capture it on camera. He's got two big dimples and his smile takes up his entire face. :) His laugh is hilarious too. As far as growing... a couple days ago we clocked him at 13 lbs! With a half lb lost after birth, that's more than 4 lbs in 4 weeks! It's amazing he doesn't look like a plumper kid... but he's also growing longer too. I suppose this is just how it goes in the early months.
Okay! Now the pictures!
As a rare occurrence, I was able to put on some make-up and style my hair...

Nothing like a good nap...
Now, the cutest picture of William, that's ever been taken:

Grandma and grandson:
He is such an inquisitive baby! :)
During the week, Esther and I had a lot of fun. With Harry Potter playing on TV, we decided (since she'd never seen any of the movies) to have a Harry Potter marathon. What fun! Oh, and we got ourselves treated to wonderful pedicures... the first Esther has ever received!

That's all for now! Hope you enjoyed. :)
